Meet the Officers

President
Kevin Beatson
As a Scottish-Filipino, I was born in Manila, grew up in Quezon City and finished high school in Scotland. I qualified MBChB in 2010 from the University of Edinburgh. Prior to higher specialty training, I undertook posts in Edinburgh and London in plastic surgery, urology, breast surgery, colorectal and upper GI surgery. I am currently an Upper GI Surgery registrar in KSS Deanery and am a PhD candidate in University College London.
Along with clinical work, I have an interest in education, contributing as faculty for RCSEng courses including ATLS, BSS and START and I also run an MRCS revision course. I have served as an anatomy demonstrator in King’s College London and a postgraduate teaching assistant in UCL.
I enjoy shooting pool, and watching movies, documentaries, and football. I look forward to sampling any Filipino restaurant in the UK as they pop up (and regularly visiting my favourites!).
